Internship Programs

Development Engineer
March 9, 2017

The Oakwood Group has unique opportunities for students who are currently attending school and wish to work part-time in their field of study. The work is designed to be beneficial to the student and the company through structured, hands-on training/work program. These positions are during regular business hours, Monday – Friday, and the work schedule is coordinated with your school schedule (10-20 hours a week).

Engineering Internships:

Our engineering interns get the chance to work with our Engineers in Research & Development or Program Management Departments. Students could find themselves involved in the concept to production phases of our products. You could be analyzing data, researching information, and performing testing, working with the prototype and production tooling to assisting engineers with production issues. Candidates for this program should be studying an engineering discipline, preferably Mechanical Engineering – 2nd/3rd year students.

Sales Internship:

Working with our sales group, students will learn the “sales process” from Request for Quotes (RFQ’s) to getting the Purchase Order (PO). This includes meeting with customers, suppliers and our internal departments such as finance, engineering and manufacturing. Candidates interested in this program should be pursuing a business or finance degree.

It is our hope that when our interns depart our program, they are well-rounded and better prepared to take on the challenges of business or engineering than they would be with just their degree alone.

If interested, indicate the program and send your resumes to:
